Paula Novak is an English teacher at a Chicago Public high school. Paula has taught for 16 years at a school where the students have given her more wonderful memories than they realize. She continues to work tirelessly to inspire her students to become better writers and more confident in their writing abilities.
In her free time, Paula is owned by four cats who keep her super busy. The cats do let her get out to run and train for races like the Chicago Marathon. The cats also like it when she goes to tap class, because she comes home tapping in the living room.
One of Paula’s favorite writing conferences is the Bear River Writers’ Conference. She has also attended the Northwestern Writers’ Conference and the University of Wisconsin Writers’ Institute, two conferences that have offered the seeds for many writing projects (including this blog).
